Yoooooo - Happy Friday!
Let's keep it real simple here and say that this joint whips up some of the best house-made burgers and fries in Collingwood. When BRGRZ is on the agenda, it's something you'll think about all day until the burger is in your hand. This little hot spot opened up just over a year ago and I'd say it's a worthwhile digs to check out. I promise.
The cool thing about this place, is that you get to build your own burger. And as you can imagine, you can make a hefty burger pretty fast as seen above (And yes I ate that whole thing). The pineapple is a game changer for me - but there really is a lot to choose from. You name it, they probably have it! (fried egg, alfalfa sprouts, goats cheese, sautéed mushrooms and the list goes on and on and on)
Don't get me wrong, I love a beautiful intricate plate of food, and trying ingredients I've never heard of before... but I love BRGRZ for being just simple as can be. It's comfort food 101 - the place you go for a burger, fries, pop and maybe cone for dessert. I don't know about you, but when I crave a burger, it's a real life crisis. This places does the trick.
It's a small little place, but they do it right. Small space + rockin' food. They really knock it out of the park when it comes to their patties. These guys use locally sourced beef (awesome) and freshly grind these bad boys daily. It's the difference between Hidden Valley Ranch and Kraft Ranch Dressing - Kraft always wins. Basically, your burgers are bomb because they are made with lots of love. Psst. They have gluten free buns and make falafel patties too - a big hell ya on accommodation!
Burgers and fries aren't the only thing on the menu. Recently, they've partnered with the Collingwood Brewery and now offer a selection of beer on tap. Not only that, but they've been hard at work constructing a really cool patio set to open this spring. So let me just say - new patio, burgers + wobblies on the menu, seems like the recipe for a hot spot come summer. I can't wait!
BRGRZ is just another great example of a locally owned business that all of Collingwood can be proud of. Thank you to you guys for loving what you do and flipping us some really tasty burgs. Thank you for supporting local, and making people like me, love where I live even more than I already did.
If you haven't yet, check out BRGRZ Inc. and make your belly happy already. They are located at 316 Hume Street in Collingwood. Shout out to Cole and Cory for giving me yet another tasty experience at this join. I root and rave about it all da' time.
Burger + Fries Forever!
