If ya didn’t know, I grew up an only child. Imagination was my lifeline and I took my friendships very seriously. I experienced the most devastation when they’d call and cancel on our play date. Flash forward to now – some things just never change. Maybe I cry a lil’ more and have become this uber vulnerable human that feels everything as deep as Georgian Bay but I’m always thinking of how I can make other people feel special + appreciated. Whether that is through a box of cookies, a few voice notes, a revealing story or a clog vlog ~ I’m always thinkin’ about it. It lights me up knowing I cracked a smile or two. Do you feel the same?
If you’re looking for some wicked and easy treats to whip up at home, I’ve rounded up a few of my go-to’s that are sure to bring about some smiles and warm feels. Good to keep in your back pocket for a time you need to thank someone, love someone, or say sorry LOL.

THE BEST Banana Bread – Recipe courtesy of Jennifer Pallian of Foodess. I found this recipe a few years ago and it’s now become my go-to. Need to thank the neighbours? Banana bread. Need to whip something up for friend? Banana bread. It’s moist, it’s delicious and I’ve yet to make a crappy loaf. Add chocolate too if you’re feelin’ it.

Chocolate Dipped Strawberries
Gimme a plate of these any day of the week and I’ll crush them all. If you’re wondering, I did eat most of these after getting the images I needed and I think I’ll whip some up this weekend and do it all over again.
TIP: Wash and completely dry your strawberries before dipping. I microwave my chocolate too (love the dark chocolate chips) w/ a pinch of coconut oil. Google has lots of tips, even better than mine.
Ketchup Chips – Oh man, if my future lover gifts me a bag of KC you know he’s a keeper. Ketchup would be in my top 3 chip flavours, for sure. Nostalgic and really weird but it works. I’ve also heard that the red flavouring is actually small specks of love, so there you go.

Strawberry Hand Pies – The adult version of a Pop Tart.
These are little pockets of love, really. Pockets of pie crust stuffed with fresh strawberry jam and then drizzled with lots of icing and sprinkles. Sounds like a dream, right?
Luckily I had some frozen Ontario strawberries left to play with. It really was the berry on top.
