Shop Canadian Made At The Georgian Artisan Shop

Guys - if you haven’t already, you must check out this fabulous shop located in Thornbury, Ontario. From a short and sweet scroll down their Instagram feed, I knew I was going to fall in love with everything that this shop was about. Local, Canadian made, beautifully curated. and family owned. Can it get much better than this?

The Georgian Artisan Shop

YOU'LL FIND: ceramics, vintage jewels, handmade jewellery, paper goods, home decor, skin products, wall hangings, cutting boards, photography, paper art, + more.

I met owner Breanne Morrow (Owner/Jeweller) over an insta-chat where she invited me to the sneak peak event before opening day. I felt honoured and was so so so excited to be one of the first to check out this gem. This store, was a hub for everything that I love to spread word about on Lokal Digs - local people, places, things in the Georgian Bay area + beyond. It did not disappoint!

Breanne Morrow

Breanne teamed up with her parents Paul + Patricia to bring fresh feels and handmade goods to Thornbury. Being artisans themselves, they understand the true hard work and appreciation that goes into each and every part of the process. To radiate awareness and give back to the artisan community, they opened up a space filled with "little luxuries of well-curated and handmade goods". They nailed it!

Within minutes of meeting Bre and her parents, we bonded. We chatted, we giggled and we created conversation about something we both loved. Big things are happening for this shop - the love and belief behind it is ALL there. AND on top of having a wide selection of products, Bre creates + sells her own jewellery, Patricia is a Gemologist, and Paul showcases his photography work in shop. The definition of a power trio. Stay tuned for DIY crafting kits coming soon to the shop.

Moments spent browsing the shelves in shops like these remind me every day why I love where I live. These hardworking business owners (and my neighbours) are constantly seeking more and looking for new ways to bring life + recognition to our amazing artisan community. Amidst these four walls boasts a beautiful collaboration of unique and special goods, made by Canadian artisans with stories to tell.
