A Lokal Girls Night Out at the Blue Mountain Resort Summitview Pavilion

Summer isn’t over yet! Well, at least not in my books. There are still evenings that await the fun and munchies + even a handful of patio sippers that deserve our love! A few weeks ago, I rounded the gals and suggested a girls night out which usually consists of real good stories, wine and something tasty.
After seeing Instagram pictures of the new Summitview Pavilion restaurant at Blue Mountain Resort, I knew it’d be a great spot to take in the views and connect with friends. They’ve created a pop-up restaurant experience at the top of Blue Mountain, accessible by gondola or by car via Scenic Caves Road and the view is simply breathtaking. It brought me back to sunny ski days when the first 3 minutes are spent gazing at the half frozen Georgian Bay in awe. We are truly lucky to live in this four-season utopia.
As we zoomed up the open air gondola, which was VERY exciting for us twenty-somethings, we couldn’t help but feel like we were on our way to Sydney, Australia. The large tent structure that houses the restaurant had a slight resemblance to the Sydney Opera House. A little different but hey, it’s good to dream big baby!
Naturally, we ordered caesars and sangria to enjoy whilst looking out at green + blue views. It’s not hard to redirect me once I’ve read S A N G R I A. The menu features a small curated selection of BBQ faves but we specifically were drawn to the cheese + charcuterie board and hummus 3 ways - two awesome nibbles to complete our happy hour fiesta. The spread was very plentiful and hit all the key elements of a solid charcuterie board. We were into it! And the BACON JAM... Man oh man, it was out of this world. I was pretty darn close to eating it by the spoonful.
ON THE BOARD: Prosciutto, salami, genoa, smoked gouda, herb goat cheese, jalapeño Havarti, bacon jam, caramelized onion, local honey and crackers.
If you’re looking for a fun activity to pass the time, I recommend popping by for a little midday bevvy and a few snacks at the Summitview Pavilion. It’ll be open until the end of October so there is loads of time to plan your excursion at Blue Mountain Resort. Get out and experience your region like a lokal.
Reservations recommended.
