Support Home Horizon Through the Picnic Project

If you’re into yummy food + wine then this is totally up your alley! This summer, Home Horizon has teamed up with Roadrunner Foods, Georgian Hills Vineyard and The Pop-Up Event Company (all local businesses) to bring a really cool fundraiser to life called The Picnic Project. If you don’t know, Home Horizon is a non-profit organization based out of Collingwood that provides support, programming, and necessities for youth at risk of homelessness. Through the Barbara Weider House (their primary location), they provide a safe transition home for youth ages 16-24 from the Grey/Simcoe area.

Here’s where you come in! Due to fundraising limitations this summer, Home Horizon has had to look at new fun + summery ways to raise funds to cover operational costs and the necessary supplies to keep the BWH up and running. Through the Picnic Project, you can order any of the 3 picnic basket options (see below) for delivery to your door OR you can opt to enjoy your goodies at Georgian Hills Vineyard and make a full afternoon of it.

Either or, it’s the perfect way to enjoy some locally-made goodies (both food and wine) while giving back to a remarkable organization that prioritizes the safety and independence of youth in our area.

Our personal fave was the Vineyard Picnic as we are all about the cheese + charcuterie life. As you’ll see, we tasted + love all three and would guide you in the direction of any of the basket options. DEE-LISH! We also gotta give a shout out to Andrea from Georgian Hills who brought us some crisp + summery wines to pair with our baskets.
